Totangi recognized with Development Excellence Award for Woodland Creek

In our last blog we mused about ‘Doing the Right Thing‘, the thinking behind how our long term business focus translates in to customer value.  As a local company, we measure success by the smiles on our customers’ faces and we work hard to achieve this.

We are very pleased to announce that we have been acknowledged by the Sooke community with the Development  Excellence Award from the Sooke Chamber of Commerce for our Woodland Creek development.  It is a recognition that we are very grateful for and one that expresses not only to us, but all the Totangi team including our staff, trades, designers, engineers, and partners like the District of Sooke, that Woodland Creek is a very special project.

Woodland Creek started in its concept stage back in 2001, and now over 10 years later is a vibrant neigbourhood in the centre of the Westcoast town of Sooke with trails, parks, and over 90 homes and townhomes occupied.  It is the first development in the area to utilize independent geo-exchange technology to heat and cool the homes. New homes are Power Smart and Built Green Gold certified, and with Energuide ratings over 80, they are very energy efficient.

We have received a number of other awards for this project from peers within the development and building industry, but this is very special because it comes from our Sooke community friends and neighbours.

We are excited about continuing to work with and support the community of Sooke as the next several years will see the creation of more homes, townhomes, trails, and a neighbourhood commercial area to service the local community.
